JOHN VINCENT III

Dit concert wordt om productionele redenen verplaatst naar 31-05-2027. Kaarten met de oude datum blijven geldig op de nieuwe datum. Kaartkopers ontvangen bericht van Ticketmaster met meer informatie indien je bent verhinderd op de nieuwe datum.De folkzanger John Vincent III uit Nashville heeft een trouwe schare fans opgebouwd met zijn oprechte, minimalistische songwriting, geworteld in klassieke folk. Hij brak door met het door de RIAA met goud bekroonde nummer ‘Next To You’ van zijn veelgeprezen debuutalbum Songs From the Valley, dat hij in eigen beheer uitbracht en waarmee hij zijn intieme vertelkunst en warme stemgeluid bij een breed publiek introduceerde. Na een periode van bezinning en heroriëntatie keerde Vincent in 2023 terug met Songs for the Canyon, een suggestief en veelomvattend tweede album dat hij samen met Grammy-winnende engineer Tom Elmhirst produceerde in Electric Lady Studios. Het project betekende een belangrijke artistieke sprong voorwaarts, waarbij hij zijn sonische palet verbreedde met behoud van de emotionele directheid die zijn werk kenmerkt. Nu zet John dat momentum voort in zijn volgende volledige album, dat binnenkort uitkomt, waarbij hij zijn geluid verder ontwikkelt en tegelijkertijd de rauwe eerlijkheid en het vakmanschap verdiept die zijn handelsmerk zijn geworden.

JEANGU MACROOY - ZO LANG IK BLIJF DANSEN ALBUM PRESENTATIE

On Saturday 22 May 2027, Jeangu Macrooy will celebrate the release of his very first Dutch-language album, ‘Zolang ik blijf dansen’, during a spectacular release show at our MAX!Jeangu Macrooy, born in 1993 in Paramaribo, is known for his soulful voice, personal stories and charismatic stage presence. His music moves effortlessly between pop, soul, folk and indie, whilst addressing both personal and social themes. Whilst taking part in ‘Beste Zangers’, Jeangu discovered Dutch as a new way to express himself musically. This experience inspired his new album ‘Zolang ik blijf dansen’, due for release in the spring of 2027.Alongside his successful music career, Jeangu has made a name for himself in recent years as a musical theatre actor, notably as Jesus in ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ and Orpheus in ‘Hadestown’. With ‘Zolang ik blijf dansen’, Jeangu is embarking on a new musical direction, which he intends to celebrate with the audience through a spectacular live show.

BÜYÜK EV ABLUKADA

Büyük Ev Ablukada are returning to the city for a spectacular live show. Following their last concert at the Melkweg in 2024, it’s time to welcome the band back, with their full line-up and the energy for which their live shows are renowned. Since their formation in 2008, Büyük Ev Ablukada have carved out a special place for themselves within the Turkish alternative music scene. With their distinctive sound, incisive lyrics and impressive stage presence, the band has built up a loyal fanbase. With the albums “Full Faça” and “FIRTINAYT”, the band further developed their signature sound and established themselves as one of the most prominent names on the Turkish alternative music scene. Following the release of their most recent album “Defansif Dizayn”, their concerts attracted thousands of attendees. Now, Büyük Ev Ablukada is bringing that same energy to Amsterdam, where the band will perform the most popular tracks from their extensive repertoire.

Theory of a Deadman

The rock band Theory of a Deadman returns to Melkweg. Their last show in Amsterdam was in 2016, making it high time for a comeback. The band originally started on the label of Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, but has since clearly carved out its own path. Songs like ‘Bad Girlfriend’, ‘Hate My Life’ and ‘All or Nothing’ showcase their sharp and honest songwriting, driven by solid riffs and melodic choruses. Gang of Youths

Gang of Youths are an Australian alternative rock band from Sydney, now based in London. Consisting of David Le’aupepe, Jung Kim, Donnie Berzestowski and Tom Hobden, over the span of three albums, the group have consistently demonstrated themselves as one of Australia’s most notorious acts; a feat which includes sold-out tours with Foo Fighters, Mumford & Sons and Sam Fender, as well as multiple ARIA Award nominations amongst other accolades. On 29 November, the band will come to Amsterdam for an intimate performance on our stage.

LEAP

London quartet LEAP return to Amsterdam as part of their world tour, bringing along their successful debut album ‘Entropy’. Krackfree Soundsystem was born in Eindhoven from a passion for high-quality sound and deep musical experiences. Its mission? To create a system that delivers crystal-clear, powerful audio while staying true to the roots of sound system culture. Ten years on, and following collaborations with events such as Sonic Boom, Krackfree is taking its anniversary tour on the road, with a stop at Melkweg on Friday 27 November.At its core, Krackfree is about bringing people together through sound. What sets the collective apart is that every stack has been researched, designed and hand-built by the crew themselves. Described as a one-of-a-kind creation, the system continues to evolve through constant experimentation and refinement, reflecting the DIY spirit that has defined Eindhoven’s underground music scene for over a decade.

TROBI PRESENTS: KAMELEON IN CONCERT

In 2016, at the age of 15, Bryan du Chatenier – better known as Trobi – signed with Spinnin’ Records. This made him one of the youngest Dutch producers ever to join the label. His talent took him all over the world, where he collaborated with artists such as The Chainsmokers and Karol G.Trobi then shifted his focus to the Dutch hip-hop scene. Working with artists such as Ronnie Flex, Frenna, Lijpe and Mula B, he scored several number one hits and became one of the Netherlands’ most recognisable producers.Today, Trobi moves effortlessly between dance, hip-hop and pop. Ahead of the release of his second album, 'Kameleon', he is bringing an exclusive show to Amsterdam.

KID KAPICHI

Melkweg is no stranger to Kid Kapichi. On earlier albums, the band delivered a sharp critique of the UK through their cheeky and hard-hitting britpunk. On 16 January 2026, they released their latest record, ‘Fearless Nature’. The album marks a new chapter: with a new line-up, the band brings melancholic rock songs and more vulnerable moments.Still driven by their signature socially critical honesty, this time it’s paired with the emotional vulnerability of a turbulent period. Written during a difficult time for frontman Jack Wilson, the album explores themes like vulnerability, mental health and personal growth. Following a headline show at Pretty Pissed 2026, the band returns to Melkweg this autumn with the ‘Down The Rabbit Hole’ tour.
